We LBTians are extremely proud and happy that our intercollege tech and cultural fest became a reality...our maiden cultural fest DHRUVA 09 and our tech fest YAGNA 09..the effort of the students and staffs of lbs for months..

we are extremely happy that our efforts became a gr8 success..congratulations to all the prize winners and those who participated in this fest...heartfelt gratitude to all the union members,staffs and others who worked behind this..we cannot express our happiness in words.....thank God!!!!as we say dreams arent to be restricted and we have proved it!!!!!

Our heartfelt gratitude to all the participants,audience who came and participated in the event and made it a grant success and also to all the teaching staff,non teaching staff,union member,sponsors,each and every person who made this event a grant successs...

A special gratitude to Staff Coordinator Shiju Sir,Union members who worked day and night to make this event a grant success..

Praying that Dhruva-10,Yagna-10 turns out to be even bigger success,and that the juniors do the best,and bring out a rocking fest...

We get a chance to get free softwares!Various Linux-kernel based operating systems and application softwares.One could also participate in games and quiz.

Stall 1-Kick It, Like Bechkam

Here one has to do a goal but...the goal is a small two wheeler's tyre.

Stall 2-Apple Pendulum

A participant is given a pendulum of apple,which on swinging ,he/she has to move an object across a line.

Stall 3-Play It Hard

You have to balance a lemon on spoon,along with playing basketball.

Stall 4-Lighting The Candles

The person who lights up maximum number of candles with a single matchstick,wins.

Stall 5-Coin from the Soil

As the name suggests one has to find out a coin hidden in sand with a spoon.

Bend your brains and solve the puzzles!

So finally it happened.........Yagna & Dhurva-09 came with a bang!!!

First in line,we had our inauguration.Seeking the blessings of God,we began with prayer.Going with norm,our Union Chairperson,Gayathri R Nair,gave the welcome speech.Next we had our Principal,Dr Rajasree M S,delivering the presidential address.She gave importance to technology reaching out to the common mom',which is the need of the hour from the budding engineers.

Following this was our chief guest,Mr Narayana Moorthy,Project Director,GSLV Mark 3,VSSc,addressing us.He stressed on the attributes of a good engineer.He gave insight into ISRO and the scope,avionics holds for future engineers.

The other dignitaries who blessed us with their words on this auspicious ocassion were Prof.K.Narayanam,Director,LBS Centre for Science & Technology;K.Maheshwaran Nair,Ward Councillor,Poojapura;Dr C Rajeev,Vice President,PTA,LBSITW;Prof David Solomon George,HOD,EC-AE Dept,LBSITW;Porf Sabu M Thampi,HOD,CS-IT Dept,LBSITW.

The vote of thanks was proposed by CS-IT Association Secretary,Anjolie A Nair. While the technical events were in full swing,the main stage was set ablaze with ravishing performances by LBTians.The performances included melodious songs and superb dances.

The preparations are on in full swing.The marathon run for the sponsorship still continues,the bunking class...still continues,the cribbing,the worrying,the planning,the fun,the jokes.. it all goes on.As days go by,the weather is a degree hotter and we r one step closer to the hottest event of the year and hopefully the hottest in ourlives....

So to kool off a bit ,here's a new addition to the blog.The shout box! Shout whatever u want(erm...now, whatever is defined as anything tht doesnt involve swearing,offensive language,and absolutely "thara chalus")...ofcourse normal chalus and constructive criticism is always welcome.give ur suggestions ideas..or just a plain hi:).That space is all yours......

Hahaa no worries.. we did start running some time back. We even sprouted extra hands and legs cos of all the work. After a while the legs and hands started appearing a little weird, so our very own Transporters got into action, shuttling people between workstations. See them go n u won't find it hard to believe that they attended Statham's Academy for Aspiring Transporters [location: Poojappura ground] for a 'crash' course. Look out for more in this space cos we'd like to take u along for this ride [U do have accident insurance right. If not.. well :D] that will culminate in the realization of our vision [or rather the vision we inherited from our seniors] - Yagna '09 & Dhruva '09.
